·         Place scale on flat stable surface in a stable environment. Temperature range: 64° to 73° F, 18° to 23° C.

·         Press the long green button to release the draftshield. Lift the draftshield.

·         Press the red button marked i/T, the On/Off/Zero button. Display will show 1888.88.

·         A warm-up count down begins -0- 9, -0- 8, … wait until it is finished and displays CAL .

·          CAL  requires the 100g weight to be placed into the center of the pan. Wait.

·        500.00^c  will show. Remove the weight and return it to its home. It will show  0.00^c .

·         You are ready to begin weighing.

·         Center the item to be weighed in the pan for an accurate weight. OFF-C will show if the item is not properly centered.

·         Wait for the ^c  , ^g  , ^dwt to appear next to the weight to indicate a stable reading.

·         Remove the item and wait for a stable zero reading before weighing the next one.

·         Press the red On/Off/Zero button marked i/T until ----- shows. Release the button.

·         Press the black Unit Change button marked D until the desired unit is indicated by ^c  , ^g  , ^dwt on the right side of the reading. It is not necessary to remove items from the pan to get a conversion or change unita.

·         This scale requires six AA batteries for 1200 operating hours.

·         The battery icon will flash on the display when the battery power is low and the batteries should be changed.  Weight readings will still be valid until the scale shuts off.

·         The battery compartment is located on the underside of the scale.

·         Press the thumb hole down and slide battery door to the back of the scale.

·         Replace the six AA batteries. Orient batteries according to diagram shown in the battery compartment. 

·        Slide the battery door securely into place and resume weighing.

·         1888.88 indicates Turn On procedure has begun.

·          CAL  indicates waiting for the calibration weight to be placed in pan, 100 grams.

·         ----- indicates waiting for a stable zero weight within range.

·          Err  indicates the weight on the scale is over the limit of 500c, 100g or 64.3dwt.

·         ^c  indicates a stable carat weight, ^g  indicates grams, ^dwt indicates pennyweights.

·         If stable weights do not appear, lower the draftshield, move your scale to a stable surface or environment.

·         Flashing battery icon indicates the batteries need changing.

·         An unchanging display indication requires that your scale be returned for factory repair.

·         Please read this Owner’s Manual and calibrate your scale according to the instructions.

·         Allow the scale to settle to room temperature when moving the scale from extreme environments.

·         Avoid temperatures over 143° F /63° C.

·         Calibrate with a 100.000 gram weight only.

·         Wait for a stability indicator to display. The scale will not give stable readings in unstable environments.

·         Prevent small particles from falling into the mechanisms.

·         Avoid shocks, such as dropping it on the floor.
